Audrey Skips Cover Reveal!

Goodness! It's been a while since I last added to my news. Let's jump back in with the exciting cover reveal of a very special book written by award winning author and all round champion of reading and literacy, Andrea Rowe and illustrated by me!

AUDREY SKIPS is a reimagined tribute to a treasured icon of Melbourne, the Skipping Girl, otherwise known as Little Audrey.

Bright and shiny Audrey loves to skip a jump rope rhyme, right off her rooftop and through the sleeping streets of a city. Skittering across the skyline and peering in windows, Audrey spies folks struggling with hard times as her own light dims. With a little help from city friends, Audrey’s light and her hopeful spirit shine again, brighter than ever.

Andrea Rowe and I have collaborated with MidnightSun Publishing to create a reimagined tale of Audrey's skip-step-skip story across Melbourne’s rooftops and into our hearts. This is a story of community in cities, kindness and compassion, legacy and conservation...and encourages us all to look up and see our landmarks and history.

Audrey was the first neon sign in Melbourne and now one of the oldest, celebrating her 90th birthday early next year.
